Swami is an experienced spiritual teacher focusing specially on classical Hatha Yoga, Meditation and Yoga-Vedanta philosophy. With more than 20 years experience, his knowledge brings gentle peace and kind manner to beginners as well as skilled Yoga practitioners.
Dr. Dinesh is a professional Ayurveda Doctor for the past 20 years, working as a visiting consultant physician, where he also teaches students and organizes seminars, workshops, research on Ayurveda and other alternative medicine
Jayesh is a Masters graduate in Yoga making him more than a qualified instructor in both Hatha and Ashtanga traditions. For the past five years, he has traveled to various parts of the world to share his passion for teaching yoga and spirituality to a vast number of people from different walks of life.
Our Pregnancy Yoga teacher, Irie Nyah is a birth-worker in training, natural pregnancy advocate, mother to one-year old Jahlia Nyah and has a passion for
women’s health and wellbeing. She believes that to truly live our most fulfilled, authentic and present lives, womb-en must first become deeply acquainted with their innate feminine nature. Her sessions are designed for women at all stages and phases with special focus on pregnancy and preparation for childbirth. However all women desiring to connect more deeply to their femininity or prepare their body,
mind and spirit to welcome new life will benefit from these unique sessions. Irie is a Yoga Alliance certified Hatha Yoga teacher and has been teaching for the last two years in India and Australia.
Harilal is a professional Yoga Teacher with 14 years of experience in Yoga teaching at various parts of the world. He has been qualified from The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, Iyengar Yoga Teachers Training Centre, Ayurveda Panchakarma therapy and Spa Massage Therapy.

Aje Nyah is a young father and health and wellbeing activist. His holistic approach to life’s health is rooted firmly in the physical practice of yoga asana, pranayama and meditation. He is a certified yoga teacher and has been teaching yoga in India and Australia for the last three years. His yoga classes follow firm principles of classical Indian Hatha yoga as well as Ancient Egyptian Kemetic yoga. Aje also gives lectures and talks about Integral Wholistic Yoga Philosophy. His spiritual reasoning’s draws inspiration from the natural world and our connection with nature. Being a naturalist, organic farmer, wildlife filmmaker and a spiritual musician; he has some unusual perspectives and eye-opening views about life and the human experience, health and environmental conservation.
Gokul – Teacher of Hatha Yoga (YOGASIROMANI) awarded by The International Sivananda Yoga Vedananta Centre, BSS Diploma in Yoga and Nature cure issued by Bharat Sevak Samaj(India). As a well experienced yoga teacher, he holds an in-depth understanding of teaching asana classes with mindful integration, meditation, breathing techniques, yogic lifestyle and mantra meditation.

Each of the available rooms are different and offers a unique blend of antique charm and modern comfort. There a shared or single and double rooms available. All rooms are air conditioned and offer stunning views of the surrounding greenery.
The organic farm provides us with a variety of homegrown vegetables, fruits, nuts and herbs which are used in the kitchen and transformed by our chef into soul nourishing foods.
Maneesh, our in house chef is passionate about the food he prepares for our guests. You will enjoy a combination of traditional Kerala foods and other delicious and nutritious vegetarian cuisine made with love.
Enjoy a cruise on the backwaters, visit Fort Kochi, explore the tea plantations of Munnar or perhaps enjoy a day by the seaside or nature hike (optional on extra payment).

A collage of greens strewn with a million hues. A symphony of nature played by the birds, leaves and the bamboos. The music of stillness and solitude. Not to mention the chorus of geese and a whole lot of pets that dwell happily in the Village. The feel of grass crushing, leaves crunching and twigs snapping beneath your feet. The smell of fresh earth and the flavour of herbs and spices. The Village manages to cast a spell around all your senses.
In 2007 when founder Unni visited this piece of land, it was a neglected 7 acres of incredibly unkempt rubber plantation and unwanted weeds. In this rich though untended soil, Unni saw his chance to grow his dreams - dreams of working with nature, creating a better environment for the life on this land, and create a space for spiritual growth, yogic practice and cross cultural experiences.
From farming to waste management, all our activities are pursued with a holistic approach and social responsibility. The supplies for the kitchen are organically grown on our own land. Additional supplies are procured from nearby farmers and food producers.
The estate has been planted with specially considered vegetation that grows well and also enriches the biodiversity of the estate.
The effects of our sincere and single-minded efforts can be seen in the vast variety of birds, butterflies and other native species that have found their home in Hinterland Village. There are more than 54 species of birds, including some migratory ones, and more than 20 species of butterflies, including seasonal varieties, along with Asian palm civets, mongooses, flying foxes and also snakes.
