Start the day with pranayama and meditation sessions. Deepen your yoga practice on a daily basis for five days, working on the primary series and moving on to the advanced set of postures. Learn more about asanas, anatomy, and perfect certain postures during the afternoon workshops. Relax deeply and restore both your body and mind with yoga Nidra for deep relaxation.
The daily schedule is subject to change as per conditions. This retreat might be running in parallel with other retreats. When the number of students is less, classes may be combined for the morning meditation or philosophy classes with other groups.

Saji RamaswamiSaji Ramaswami is a professional Yoga Trainer and spiritual teacher with special experience in classic style of Yoga, Meditation and Philosophy of Yoga-Vedanta. He lived and practicing Yoga for more than 20 years in various Ashrams and Yoga schools in India. Since 2015 Swami has been with us as Yoga master, teaches the yoga retreats, teacher training workshops. His special techniques and knowledge about yoga combined with gentle, peace and kind manner, helps beginners as well as skilled Yoga practitioners. Yoga and spiritual aspirins have benefited by the inspiring talks and teachings.
Dr. Dinesh ManayattilDr. Dinesh is a professional Ayurveda Doctor for the past 20 years, working as a visiting consultant physician, where he also teaches students and organizes seminars, workshops, research on Ayurveda and other alternative medicine. 20 years of experience in Ayurvedic Medicine Teaching. Expert in consultation diagnosis, Ayurvedic food and natural and organic system.
This retreat will take place in Hinterland Village. With seven acres of lush greenery, it is a haven of rich native biodiversity and an oasis of peace on the outskirts of the city of Kochi. Hinterland Village boasts more than 180 native species of flora that grow abundantly and naturally throughout the year. The Bodhi center at Hinterland Village was an initiative undertaken by its founder, Unni, to promote yoga and Ayurveda. Unni’s desire was to create a space where guests and visitors could immerse themselves in spiritual practices in a peaceful and natural environment.
The Bodhi Ayurveda and Yoga center at Hinterland Village is a spiritual paradise set amidst jungle giants overlooking a paddy field. The space around the Bodhi Ayurveda and Yoga center is a paradise for bird watching and nature walks. The resort also has a swimming pool set amongst the greens so guests can cool off from the South Indian heat. Hinterland Village takes pleasure in harmonizing with nature and guests are encouraged to do the same.
As the name Bodhi suggests, the aim of the retreat is to seek enlightenment regarding one’s own body and mind. As humanity often strives in chaos, Bodhi, or one's awakening, is an essential journey that everyone eventually has to take. In this sense, constant efforts are made to provide the most comfortable space for guests to practice yoga, to enjoy the special treatments, and to engage in the mutual exchange of ideas and thoughts.
All guests will be staying at Hinterland Village, a homestay where you can get all the warmth and care that remind you of home with the added benefits and luxuries of a resort. Each of the six available rooms is different and offers a unique blend of antique charm and modern comfort. There are a number of options of shared, double, or single rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned and offer stunning views of the surrounding greenery.

The Mulanthuruthy Mar Thoman Church
The historic Mulanthuruthy Mar Thoman Church of the Malankara Syrian Orthodox, which was built between AD 1110 and 1125, is just 2.5 kilometers away.
Chottanikara temple, one of the most famous shrines in Kerala, is at a distance of 4 kilometers. Less than 15 kilometers away is Tripunithura, which used to be the capital of the erstwhile kingdom of Cochin.
Kochi is a metropolitan city with busy streets and an extensive array of exclusive showrooms, shopping malls, restaurants ranging in style from the casual to the swanky, and cinema theaters. Here you can shop till you drop.
Fort Kochi and Mattancherry
Fort Kochi and Mattancherry are just 30 kilometers away from Hinterland Village. These twin towns reflect the lingering aura of the colonial period in Kerala. You can see here the remnants of a mixed culture - Jewish, Dutch, French, Portuguese, and English. The Jain Temple, Synagogue, Dutch Palace, and St. Francis Church are famous for their historical as well as architectural importance. Fort Kochi is also famous for its Chinese fishing nets and fish market.
Kodanad elephant training center
Kodanad Elephant Training Center is just 35 kilometers away from Hinterland Village. The center hosts a minimum of 10 elephants some of which are owned by the Forest Department of Kerala and some are privately owned.
This retreat includes a consultation with an on-site Ayurvedic/ Naturopathy doctor that will administer treatments according to your body constitution. Massages and steam baths will be scheduled during your stay. Natural self - Healing Therapies, Hydro Therapies, accupuncher and Kriyas.
